Event Calendar 2026

The 2026 competition season starts soon and we want to get you excited about it. Because we are! Here is a short overview:

May 9th 2026 - Oana Open

The start of the competition season is once again in the Mall of Switzerland in Ebikon, Lucerne. With tropical temperatures, bar and music, the Oana Open is the must go event for all who can't wait that summer starts. And believe us: you won't be the only one!

August 22nd 2026 - Urban Surf Open

Already mid summer, the Urban Surf Open picks up the vibe of big openair summer parties and is just the place to spend a sunny afternoon on the terrace right in the heart of Zurich's Hardbrücke Quartier. Agenda: big crowds, international surf action and cool drinks.

September 5th 2026 - River Surf Jam Thun

You're rather the small town type who prefers sweet water to artificial chlorine tanks? Come to Thun, the most picturesque city in Switzerland with the wildest competition of the season. Held on a current that is more monster than wave and judged by the competitors themselves, you truly don't want to miss this one.

To be announced - Alaïa Bay Open

The season ender of the EST 2026, the big finale. While the date is yet to be announced, the anticipation is enormous! Once in a snowstorm, once in golden sun rays, this event in the middle of the Wallis is only for the true chargers and never disappoints.

September 23rd until 27th 2026 - Euro Rapid Surf

Yeah you heard right: EURO! Swiss Surfing brings landlocked surfing to the next level and organizes the first ever European Rapid Surfing Championships on behalf of the European Surfing Federation. Come back to where the season started and enjoy the competition at Oana in Ebikon, Lucerne. This is no warm up! This is the real shit!

October 4th until 9th 2026 - Swiss Surfing Championships

For those Swissies who are not so landlocked after all, the Swiss Surfing Championships in the Atlantic Ocean are the proving ground. Come and surf together with the greatest sports community you can find out there! See you in (not so) fresh water!
